| LTK (Laser Thermal Keratoplasty) is a 3-second,
"no-touch" procedure for mild to moderate levels of farsightedness (hyperopia)
and presbyopia. LTK uses a laser to gently reshape the cornea with heat; there is no need to cut the cornea and no instruments touch the eye. With the advancement of lasers, LTK has now become the fastest and safest way to correct mild farsightedness in patients over 40. The LTK procedure is non-invasive, very quick, and painless. CK (conductive keratoplasty) is a similar treatment that applies heat to the cornea using a micro-probe.
